GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.
Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. – via Giving Tuesday website
This year, Giving Tuesday falls on 29 November 2016.
Although we’re not on the official Giving Tuesday donor list, we decided that this was a good day to bring focus to the work we do among children and young people, often from the most difficult circumstances. We will be asking you to share from your resources and contribute towards our work.
Children are the responsibility of society and we must do all we can to make sure they are given not just the basic necessities, but tools for the future.
